Build the Right Iguana Home

Pet iguanas are quickly becoming the most popular pet to own. If you want to own an iguana you must know the right habitat for it. Since these pets come from the tropics, you must provide the right equipment and temperature in order for your iguana to thrive. Your pet deserves the right iguana home, and you must provide this for them.

First thing before you build your iguana its new home, know that iguanas have come from large areas with a lot of space to roam. Also, iguanas are used to a lot of shrubbery and rocks. In saying this, your iguana home must provide these features as closely as you can. Your iguana home must have rocks and shrubbery, or at least something for your iguana to climb on as well as hide under. Iguanas are creatures that love to explore, and their old habitat provided them with many things to climb on and hide under.

Now it is very important that you also provide your iguana home with proper lighting. Your iguana will need this lighting because it needs the UVB rays in order to remain healthy. You can find these types of lights at your local pet store. In addition to proper lighting, climbing apparatuses and hiding places, your iguana cage must be equipped with fresh food and water at all times. Having all these features for your iguana is important for your iguana to thrive in life.

Now what can you make your iguana home out of?

1. Closet. If you have enough closet space and you can provide adequate heating, then the closet should be a fine home for your iguana. You have to make sure that air is flowing through the closet though. 2. Steel cage. This cage will have to be quite big and you also will need to provide enough lighting. Make sure none of the wires are sticking out so that your iguana will not scratch itself.

Basically anything that will provide the 4 features stated above will do for an pet's home.
